The Recording Division physical office is closed to the public. Online/phone services are available Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m.–5 p.m. Limited in-person services are available by appointment.

Requesting Copies

Copies of a recorded document can be requested online through the Boulder County Public Search portal, by phone, or by mail (contact info below).

Download or Request Copies Online

  • Watermarked copies are available for free viewing and downloading through the Boulder County Public Search portal. Click on the Free Download button when viewing document details.
  • Clean digital copies may be requested by phone or email.
  • Paper copies to be mailed will be charged per page as indicated below.
  • Digital certified copies are available online; fees charged as indicated below.

Paper Copies by Phone

You may pay by debit or credit card over the phone (extra fee of $0.75 + 2.26% of the total payment).

You may also pay by e-Check over the phone (extra fee of $1.00).

Paper Copies by Mail Requirements

If a copy is requested by mail, the following information must be included in a letter to the Recording Division:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Mailing or email address to which the copy is to be sent
  • Type of document
  • Document reception number (number may be searched by name)
  • Type of copy requested
  • Payment for the copy
  • Postage or self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE) if the copy is to be mailed
