Requesting a Copy

A copy of a marriage license or civil union license may be requested online, by phone, or by mail,:

A copy will only be issued after payment is received.

Certified Copy

A certified copy of a marriage license or civil union license is available by mail or over by requesting over the phone after the license is recorded. Provide the following to obtain a certified copy of a Boulder County marriage or civil union license:

  • Names of the parties in the marriage or civil union
  • Date of ceremony
  • Check payable to the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder
  • Mailing address for return of the certified copy
  • Self-addressed stamped envelope or the following:
    • Additional $0.75 for postage to receive up to four copies
    • Additional $2.00 for postage to receive five or more copies
