  • Walden Ponds
    The Wally Toevs fishing pier at Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat is closed until further notice due to structural issues. The pond remains open for fishing.

Scheduled Closures and Alerts

A portion of the Meadowlark Trail at Coalton Trailhead will be closed for cattle grazing starting at sunset on Monday, Sept. 7, through Saturday, Nov. 7.

Muddy Trails

Shortcutting around muddy trails greatly increases erosion and destroys vegetation. If a trail is reported to be in poor condition, consider using another trail.

Tips for Muddy Trails

  • Use trails early in the morning before it gets too muddy
  • Go through mud, not around it – trails take years to heal, so get muddy
  • Use a different trail if it is too muddy
