Workforce Boulder County Celebrates Workforce Development Month in September
Boulder County residents are invited to participate in upcoming events
Boulder County, Colo. - Workforce Boulder County (WfBC) is celebrating September for National Workforce Development Month. Together with the Colorado Department of Labor, the District Attorney’s Office of Boulder County, and many key community partners, WfBC is hosting various events and exploring Boulder County’s dynamic workforce ecosystem this month. Workforce Development Month highlights the importance of community in workforce development, employees, and workforce development business partners.
Workforce Boulder County is hosting events throughout the month and welcomes community members, business, and partner organizations to upcoming events both offered in-person and virtual. These include:
• Sept. 3: Colorado FWD Essential Skills Demonstration- In-Person
• Sept. 4: Metro Area Career Fair – Virtual
• Sept. 9: Self Employment Panel – Virtual
• Sept. 16: OUR Center Job Fair – In-Person
• Sept. 23: 55+ Job Fair – In-Person
• Sept. 26: WfBC Board Meeting- In-Person

“Workforce Boulder County continues to be an integral way for residents to access opportunities of employment and education. I’m hopeful that folks will participate in this month of celebration and learning as we continue to share important resources more broadly throughout Boulder County,” said Boulder County Commissioner Marta Loachamin.
As Colorado’s economy continues to rebound from the pandemic, Colorado’s Workforce System partners remain committed to supporting a thriving environment for workers and employers throughout the state. The State of Colorado’s 52 Workforce Centers serve as a resource for workers, including Workforce Boulder County for residents. Workforce centers provide a wide variety of no-cost workforce programs to support individuals in starting or advancing their careers through upskilling, reskilling, and nextskilling.
