Workforce Boulder County Celebrates Workforce Development Month in September

Boulder County residents are invited to participate in upcoming events

Boulder, Colo. - Workforce Boulder County (WfBC) is celebrating National Workforce Development Month in September. Together with the Colorado Department of Labor, the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office, and many community partners, WfBC is hosting various events and exploring Boulder County’s dynamic workforce ecosystem this month. Workforce Development Month highlights the importance of community in workforce development, employees, and workforce development business partners.

Workforce Boulder County is hosting in-person and virtual events throughout September and welcomes community members, businesses, and partner organizations.

Sept. 5: Metro Area Career Fair – Virtual
Sept. 10: Second Chance Hiring Panel – Virtual
Sept. 12: OUR Center Job Fair – In-Person
Sept. 16: Job Quality for Boulder County Businesses – In-Person
Sept. 18: Pathways to Success Employer Panel - Virtual
Sept. 24: Green Jobs – In-Person
Sept. 24: 55+ Job Fair – In-Person
Sept. 25: Path Forward Returnship Resources – In-Person

“Workforce Boulder County continues to be an integral way for residents to access opportunities of employment and education. I’m hopeful that folks will participate in this month of celebration and learning as we continue to share important resources more broadly throughout Boulder County,” said Boulder County Commissioner Marta Loachamin.

As Colorado’s economy continues to rebound from the pandemic, Colorado’s Workforce System partners remain committed to supporting a thriving environment for workers and employers throughout the state. The State of Colorado’s 52 Workforce Centers serve as a resource for workers, including Workforce Boulder County for residents. Workforce centers provide a wide variety of no-cost workforce programs to support individuals in starting or advancing their careers through upskilling, reskilling, and nextskilling.
