Suspect Arrested in U.S. 36 Road Rage Shooting Near Superior
Boulder County, Colo. - On Oct. 25, 2025, at approximately 5:47 p.m., a white Toyota, Corolla and white Ford, Fusion were involved in a road rage incident traveling Denver bound on U.S. 36 as they left the city of Boulder. Near McCaslin Blvd., the driver of the Corolla reportedly brandished what was believed to be a gun and fired a single shot. The suspected gunfire shattered the driver’s side window of the Fusion, causing minor injuries to the driver.
The Corolla continued Denver bound on the U.S. 36 and the driver of the Fusion contacted the Broomfield Police Department. The incident took place inside Boulder County’s jurisdiction. Boulder County Sheriff’s Office deputies and detectives initiated an investigation. On Oct. 26, investigators located the Corolla at an apartment complex in the city of Boulder, 3500 block of Nottingham Ct. Through surveillance and other investigative efforts, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect, Cameron Michael Jackson, date of birth, February 13, 1990, and a search warrant for the apartment where he was located.
Because the suspect’s location was within the city limits of Boulder, the Boulder Police Department SWAT Team was requested to assist with the operation. On the evening of Oct. 26, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Boulder Police Department successfully contacted Jackson and took him into custody without incident.
Jackson was arrested and later booked and lodged at the Boulder County Jail on the charges listed in the warrant: Second Degree Assault - Weapon, §18-3-203(1)(b), a class 4 felony; Menacing - Intimidation - Weapon, §18-3-206, a class 5 felony; and Criminal Mischief ($300–$1,000), §18-4-501(4)(b), a class 2 misdemeanor.
This case remains an active and ongoing investigation; therefore, Jackson’s booking photograph will not be released at this time.
