Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Parks & Open Space will host the Summer Heritage Morning event on Sunday, July 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Walker Ranch Homestead, 7701 Flagstaff Road.

Visitors are invited to travel back to the late 1800s for this captivating historical event at the picturesque Walker Ranch Homestead. This immersive experience allows participants to explore the rich European settler history of the ranch, brought to life by friendly and knowledgeable costumed volunteers.

As visitors stroll through the scenic landscape, they can engage in lively conversations with guides who demonstrate the daily tasks and traditions of the era. Witnessing firsthand how life was lived over a century ago provides a deeper understanding of the past.

Participation is encouraged, as visitors can roll up their sleeves and get involved in hands-on activities that were once essential to ranch life. Whether trying traditional crafts or learning historical skills, visitors will forge a deeper connection to the past.

For the young and young-at-heart, there are historical games to enjoy. These engaging activities offer a joyful way to experience history together, creating lasting memories for all ages.

Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic and blanket, as there are no tables at the homestead.

For the enjoyment and safety of all attendees, bikes and pets are not allowed at the homestead.
