Drivers Wanted!
Did you know many transit agencies are experiencing driving shortages? Transit agencies are in search of people looking to help their communities, by ensuring residents can get to where they need to on public transportation.
Via Mobility Services is looking for a paratransit driver help launch increased Via service for Nederland and the surrounding area.
"As a Paratransit Driver you will safely operate a paratransit vehicle and transport passengers across the Nederland area, while adhering to Via’s Standard Operating Procedures. In this role you will work closely with dispatch on scheduling and routes where you will be responsible for communicating and assisting passengers with disabilities and special needs. Ideal for someone living in Nederland."

RTD Strategic Plan
RTD has published their Change, Challenge and Connections Strategic Plan 2020-2026. "This Strategic Plan outlines a road map for
specific initiatives and programs the RTD
team will undertake over the coming year;
it also provides a framework for measuring
success beyond the one-year period."
"This plan details RTD’s aspirations and the steps for attaining goals; it articulates the organization’s vision for establishing a valuable partnership with the surrounding community, pursuing customer excellence, becoming a regional employer of choice, and achieving financial success."

Medicaid Client Transportation
In order to make it easier for organizations to provide Medicaid Non Medical Transpiration and None Emergency Medical Transportation, the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing will be taking over safety oversight on interim basses for transportation services from the Public Utilities Commission.
This change will make it easier for organizations to became Non Medical Transportation Providers by reducing the administrative and certification requirements placed on them.

Introducing a New Car Share Service Louisville
Via's September Monday Morning Cup will highlight a new car share service in Louisville. A hybrid electric car share vehicle located in the Kestrel community will be available for you to use. Or, you can also request a Via volunteer driver to drive you in the car instead. Learn about using this new service with our partners, Angel Bond from Boulder County Mobility For All and Peter Krahenbuhl with Colorado CarShare. Funding from NextFifty Initiative makes this project possible.
