Search warrant executed after threats made online

Boulder County, Colo. - On Sept. 15, 2022, Boulder County Sheriff's detectives served a search warrant at a home on Eldorado Circle, in the Town of Superior, along with members of the Boulder County Digital Forensics Lab and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The warrant was issued after detectives received a credible tip that an adult resident of the home had posted racially bias material and threats of violence, including a school shooting on a social media site.

Investigators recovered a handgun, along with journals and digital evidence from the home. Digital Forensics Lab personnel will begin searching the material for additional evidence. No arrest(s) have been made at this time.

The sheriff's office would like to remind community members to report in-progress suspicious or violent behavior by calling 911. Past incidents can be reported by calling the non-emergency dispatch number, 303-441-4444.
