The fall grant pool is open to fire districts that provide emergency services in the mountain and rural areas of Boulder County.
Save the Date: Fall 2025 Fire Protection District Grants
Boulder County’s Emergency Services Grant Program—funded by the Emergency Services Sales & Use Tax—offers financial assistance to rural and mountain emergency service providers.
The Fall 2025 Grant Round, open to fire protection districts, will launch next week. Full details and the application link will be shared via this list. Applications are due Oct. 15.
Eligible uses include:

Equipment and capital purchases or upgrades

Specialized training for emergency personnel

Operational enhancements to strengthen response capabilities

Infrastructure improvements to support emergency services
Eligibility criteria:

Applicant must be a fire district serving Boulder County (wholly or in part)

Grants are one-time only (no multi-year or ongoing funding)

Boulder County runs two emergency services grant cycles per year:
- Spring – Search & Rescue and Trail/Recreation Safety Service Providers
- Fall – Fire Protection Districts
