Public hearings are scheduled for Tuesday, May 7, and Monday, June 3
At two public hearings, each scheduled about a month apart, the Boulder County Commissioners will take public comment on a proposal to amend the transition plan for genetically-modified (GM) (aka genetically-engineered, or GE) crops on Boulder County agricultural land.
County staff will provide the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) with a summary of efforts to facilitate the transition from GM crops on county-owned agricultural lands. The proposed plan includes a revision to the current transition plan to allow for additional support for tenants to transition from GM crops.
