Open House for East Boulder Creek West Side Trailhead scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 18, 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Parks & Open Space has added an informational open house to answer questions about the west side trailhead options for the East Boulder Creek Site for Prairie Run Open Space. The open space is located at the confluence of Boulder Creek and Coal Creek, shares a border with Weld County at East County Line Road, is bounded by State Highway 52 on the north, US 287 generally on the west, and Jasper and Kenosha Roads on the south.

Community members are welcome to drop in any time on Thursday, Jan. 18, from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. in the Mitchell Room of the Town of Erie Community Center, 450 Powers St., Erie. Staff will be available to provide information and maps and answer questions about the west side trailhead options. No public comment will be recorded at this meeting, it is an opportunity for information only.

Board of County Commissioners Public Hearing

The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Thursday, Jan. 25, at 9:30 a.m. The commissioners will meet to review the plan, listen to public feedback, and vote on whether to adopt the plan.

The meeting will take place in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room, Downtown Boulder County Courthouse, 1325 Pearl St., 3rd Floor, Boulder. Members of the public can attend in person, online via Zoom, or by phone. Registration links will be available on Friday, Jan. 19, at boco.org/advance-agenda. Written public comment can be shared with the commissioners at boco.org/EBCMPcomment. Please submit written comments by noon on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
