Missing Hiker found on Goshawk Trail
Boulder County, Colo. -
On Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024 at 8:43 p.m., the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office communication center received a call regarding an overdue hiker near Eldorado Springs. The missing 60 year old woman was last seen leaving her home around 6:00 p.m. to go for a hike and did not return at the anticipated return time of 7:30 p.m. She was reported missing just after 8:30 p.m.
Rocky Mountain Rescue Group was able to activate several small teams to saturate the area and find the woman just before 1:00 a.m. The woman was found without any injuries and was escorted down to a nearby trail to be evaluated.
Assisting agencies with this rescue effort include: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder County Emergency Services, City of Boulder Open Space Rangers, Boulder Emergency Services, Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, and Front Range Rescue Dogs.
