Boulder County, Colo. - On October 15, 2020 at approximately 3:36pm, the Boulder County Communications Center received several calls about a small grass fire at the 40 mile mark of Boulder Canyon.

The Boulder Fire Department, 4-mile Fire Department, Boulder County Fire Management, Boulder Open Space and Mountains Parks Rangers, along with Boulder County Sheriff's Deputies all responded to the fire.

The 20 foot by 30 foot fire was quickly extinguished due to the quick response by the fire departments. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time but appears to be human caused. There was no property damage or injuries. The fire remains under investigation and the associated case number is 20-4601.
