Injured Rock Climber Rescued from Bastille Crack in Eldorado Canyon State Park

Boulder County, Colo. - On September 20, 2020, Boulder County Communications received a report of an injured rock climber at Bastille Crack rock climbing area in Eldorado Canyon State Park. The 28 year old out of state climber had fallen and broken his leg. Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, Rocky Mountain Fire Department, and the Boulder County Sheriff's Office responded to assist with the rescue efforts. Rocky Mountain Rescue Group did a "pick-off" where they loaded the climber into a litter and safely moved him to an area where he was able to meet with a friend. The friend transported the climber to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.
