Injured hiker rescued off on Mount Sanitas Trail

Boulder County, Colo. - Shortly after 9:00 a.m. this morning, the Boulder County Communications Center received a call from a female hiker who slipped and fell, sustaining an injury to her arm.

Rocky Mountain Rescue Group completed a technical litter evacuation and then transitioned to a wheeled litter evaluation. Boulder Mountain Fire provided medical care to the injured hiker until AMR paramedics arrived on-scene. The hiker was then transported to an area hospital. The rescue took roughly 2.5 hours.

The following agencies responded to the incident: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, Boulder Mountain Fire Protection District, and American Medical Response (AMR) Ambulance.
