The noon closure of the Main Trailhead parking lot will no longer be in effect.

Boulder County, Colo. - Starting on Saturday, Oct. 1, the Main Trailhead parking lot at Heil Valley Ranch will be open sunrise to sunset. The noon closure of the Main Trailhead parking lot will no longer be in effect.

The lot has been closed to parking after noon every day due to flash flood concerns. The parking lot sits in a drainage area between two creeks and was prone to flash flooding during the summer monsoon season as a result of the changed landscape caused by the Cal-Wood Fire.
