Grass Fire west of Hygiene

Boulder County, Colo. - On 04/19/22 about 5:30 pm Boulder County Communications received a 911 call of a grass fire in the area of the 8000 blk. of N. 41st street in unincorporated Boulder County. The fire grew to four acres in size and was quickly contained by fire crews that responded. Investigation showed the fire was accidently started by a contractor working in the area.

Fire personnel from Lefthand fire district, Boulder Rural Fire Department, and Mountain View Fire Department extinguished the fire within 20 minutes. One small loafing shed was burned, approximate loss of $1000. Boulder County Sheriff's Office responded to investigate the fire.
