Fire Districts in Boulder County Can Apply for $1.7 million in Emergency Services Grants

Description

For the Fall 2024 Grant Round, $1.7 million in funding from the Emergency Services Sales and Use Tax is available to support emergency services providers in Boulder County’s rural and mountain areas. This program aims to enhance local emergency response capabilities through financial assistance.

Grants can be applied toward:

  • Equipment and capital purchases and upgrades;
  • Specialized training for emergency personnel;
  • Operational enhancements to improve response capabilities;
  • Infrastructure improvements to better support emergency services.

Criteria

  • Applicant must provide services (wholly or in part) within Boulder County;
  • All-inclusive one-time grants only (no multi-year or ongoing grants).

Fire districts and departments can apply for funding by the deadline of 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10.

  3. Follow the Online Grant Platform Instructions for step-by-step instructions on how to complete a proposal.
  4. Apply using the Emergency Services Grant Application portal (online application).

Note: The grant application portal will close promptly at 5 p.m. MT on Dec. 10, 2024.


Boulder County runs two emergency services grant cycles per year:

  • Spring – Search & Rescue and Trail/Recreation Safety Service Providers
  • Fall – Fire Protection Districts
