Boulder County, Colo. - On November 30th, 2020 at 8:30pm the Boulder County Communications Center received a call from a neighbor about a detached garage on fire in the 100 block of Shady Hollow Road just outside the Town of Nederland in Boulder County. The neighbor advised that the fire was spreading rapidly and might reach the house.

Nederland Fire Department was dispatched and arrived on scene shortly after the 911 call and were able to get the fire under control and eventually out. Nobody was injured in the fire, however the garage was a total loss. After investigation it is believed the fire started from improperly stored fireplace ashes.

Nederland Fire Department, Nederland Police, and the Boulder County Sheriff's Office all responded.
