Female Hiker Rescued from Flagstaff Mountain
Female Hiker Rescued
Boulder County, Colo. - On Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at approximately 7:35 p.m. the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a party who had slipped and tumbled down a gulley in the area of the Baseline Picnic Area on Flagstaff Mountain. The accident occurred while she and her male companion were hiking back towards their car on Flagstaff Road. The 20-year-old female from Boulder was able to walk back up to the road with assistance from rescuers. She was transported to a local hospital.
The rescue took approximately one and one half hours.
Agencies assisting with this rescue effort included: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, Boulder Fire Department, the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group and Mountain View Fire Protection District.
