Dirtbike Rider Injured in area of Pierson Park
Boulder County, Colo. -
On Monday, November 22, 2021 at approximately 2:45 p.m., the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office was notified by Allenspark Fire Department of an injured 41-year old male in the area of Pierson Park. The male had been riding dirt bikes with his13-year old son at the time of the accident. The father had crashed after striking a tree and sent his son for help. The child went to the Allenspark Fire Station asking for help.
Allenspark Fire and Estes Park Ambulance were first to arrive in the area to start looking for the father. Rocky Mountain Rescue Group assisted in locating the father. Larimer County Search and Rescue also responded and assisted on the carry out of the injured rider to an awaiting ambulance. The party was transported by ambulance to the Estes Park Hospital. The rescue took approximately 5 hours.
Agencies assisting with this rescue included: Allen’s Park Fire, Estes Park Ambulance, Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, Larimer County Search and Rescue and both Boulder County and Larimer County Sheriff’s Office’s.
