Pedestrian Safer Journey

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law established a new Safe Streets and Roads for All discretionary program that provides $5-$6 billion in grants over the next five years. This funding will support regional, local, and tribal initiatives to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries.

This grant encourages initiatives that create safe routes to school and public transit services through multimodal modes in underserved communities to apply. The Department of Transportation will be holding informational webinars and a dedicated webpage as soon as possible. For more information now, click here.
