Climber injured in Eldorado State Park
Boulder County, Colo. -
On Saturday, April 2, 2022 at approximately 12:53 p.m., the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a climber who had fallen while climbing in the area of the RosyToit route on the Red Garden Wall.
Rescuers from the Eldorado State Park, Rocky Mountain Rescue Group and the Mountain View Fire Protection District hiked into the area and located the patient who was on the ground. The 29-year-old climber from Fort Collins was stabilized and then carried downhill to an ambulance and transported to a Boulder area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The rescue took approximately one hour.
Agencies assisting with this rescue included: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Eldorado State Park Mountain View Fire Protection District, and the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group.
