Boulder County, Colo. -

On March 26, 2025 just after midnight, a fire was reported to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office Communications Center. The fire was reported to be in the 8,300 block of Arapahoe Road.

Deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office located an outbuilding fully engulfed in flames. The fire was located near a home and a large barn.

Fire personnel from the Mountain View Fire Department, Lafayette Fire Department, and Louisville Fire Department responded and quickly extinguished the fire.

A resident there advised that the outbuilding was a 10 foot by 12 foot chicken coop housed with 6 chickens. They also advised that there was a heat lamp inside of the coop.

The coop was a total loss, however the fire did not effect any of the other nearby structures.
