Boulder County Wildfire Fund- Recovery Support Program Announcement

The program consolidates the previously established Unmet Needs, Housing Support, and Rebuild Grant programs into a single, streamlined source of support.

Boulder County, Colo. - On Jan. 15, 2026, the Community Foundation Boulder County, in partnership with Impact Development Fund, announced a transition in Marshall Fire recovery assistance programs.

Beginning Feb. 1, 2026, previously separate recovery programs of the Boulder County Wildfire Fund — including Unmet Needs, Housing Support and Rebuild Grant programs — will be consolidated into a single, streamlined Recovery Support Program.

The creation of the Recovery Support Program reflects a continued commitment to meeting Marshall Fire Survivors where they are in their long-term recovery process and ensures that financial assistance remains accessible, responsive, and simple to navigate four years into the community’s recovery. This program will offer support through the summer of 2027 or until funding is no longer available.

The Recovery Support Program will provide financial assistance to Marshall Fire-impacted individuals and households across Boulder, Louisville, Superior, and unincorporated Boulder County who continue to face housing instability, unmet needs, or property restoration challenges as a direct result of the Dec. 30, 2021, wildfire.

Under the unified program structure, eligible applicants may seek assistance in the following areas:

Housing Support, including rental or mortgage assistance for displaced households

Unmet Needs, such as essential household expenses, healthcare, transportation and basic necessities

Property Restoration Support for smoke- and ash-affected homes

Application Process and Timeline

The Recovery Support Program application portal will open Feb. 1, 2026. Applications will continue to be accepted under the Unmet Needs Program until Saturday, Jan. 31. Additional program information and updates will be shared on the Disaster Recovery website as the Feb. 1 launch approaches.

All applications must be submitted through Impact Development Fund’s Disaster Recovery Website.

Applicants must complete an online application and may be asked to provide additional documentation to support eligibility and financial need. Program assistance is subject to available funding and eligibility requirements.
