Boulder County now accepting nominations for the 2024 Conservation Awards

Nominations accepted through Friday, June 14.

Boulder County, Colo. - The Boulder County Parks & Open Space department is accepting nominations for the annual Conservation Awards through Friday, June 14.

The nomination criteria have been updated to be more inclusive, remove barriers, and encourage nominations that celebrate projects and programs that reach underserved residents of Boulder County.

New in 2024! Community Connections Award
This award recognizes individuals, families, community groups, and organizations for programs and activities that have made a significant community impact and/or reached underserved residents of Boulder County. These programs include activities that connect the community to open space values, goals, and access to public parks and trails.

The other categories include Land Conservation, Environmental Stewardship, and Cultural and Historic Preservation. Special consideration will be given to activities that particularly affect unincorporated Boulder County and demonstrate ongoing effort.

People may not nominate themselves nor are they permitted to nominate organizations of which they are an officer or director. Official projects of federal, state, county, special district, and municipal government agencies are not eligible to be nominated. Projects or bodies of work that have already received a Conservation Award are not eligible.

The Boulder County Commissioners will present the awards on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 3 p.m. at the Boulder County Parks & Open Space headquarters building.
