Boulder County, CO – Boulder County Elections is hosting a Voter Registration and Voting Information Event on Tuesday, October 7 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at All Roads Shelter at 4869 Broadway in Boulder. The pilot event is open to all to assist with voter registration but is specifically aimed at assisting our county residents who are in housing transition or are unhoused. Every eligible voter has the right to vote, and Boulder County Elections will have expert staff at the event to help residents and those in need with all their registration and voting questions.
“Our community understands that from time-to-time people face challenges in life, including housing insecurity and being unhoused,” stated Molly Fitzpatrick, Boulder County Clerk and Recorder. “Our job at Boulder County Elections is to help make sure every eligible voter can register and cast their ballot if they so choose regardless of their housing situation. Our office believes that democracy matters, every voter’s voice matters and casting a ballot in every election matters. We were pleased that All Roads welcomed our partnership to host a pilot voter registration event in their space.”
At the event, Boulder County Elections will help eligible voters get registered using All Roads as a registration address, if needed, or an alternative registration address. Those who wish to register to vote are asked to either bring a Colorado Driver’s License or state ID, if they have one, or be able to provide their last 4-digits of their social security number. Other ID options can be found at BoCo.org/VotingID.
“We are thankful for Boulder County Elections partnership on this event,” stated Spencer Downing, All Roads Chief Shelter Program Officer. “Many individuals we help don’t realize they still have the right to vote if they are temporarily unhoused or in a temporary housing situation. Coming to our location, being compassionate about people’s situation, and offering assistance on how to register and to cast a ballot despite their life challenges is something we welcomed from Boulder County Elections. No one should be left out of the democratic process due to hardship and we hope this event helps some individuals know their voice matters.”
The next election is this fall, Tuesday, November 4, 2025. For more information on voting or the upcoming election, see BoulderCountyVotes.gov.
