Crews will begin milling the surface of Jay Road between CO 119/Diagonal Highway and US 36/28th Street (map) starting at 8 a.m. tomorrow. In order to complete paving before the Memorial Day holiday weekend (weather permitting), milling activity may take place this Saturday, May 22.

The road will be reduced to a single-lane around construction zones, so flaggers will be on-site directing traffic during working hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Travel delays may exceed 15-minutes, especially when milling and paving activity is moving through an intersection, so alternate routes are advised.

After milling and before paving, the surface of Jay Road will be in a less than ideal condition for cycling, so please use caution when riding through the area. More information on the project is available on the county's website.

Thank you for your time and patience. Have a good day.
