Arrestee identified in homicide investigation

Lafayette resident charged with murder related to Flagg Drive homicide

Boulder County, Colo. - On Friday, June 3, 2022 at approximately 6:30 p.m., detectives and uniformed deputies with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from officers from the Lafayette Police Department, arrested a suspect in a homicide that occurred at a residence in the 12100 block of Flagg Drive in unincorporated Boulder County. The male is now being officially identified as 37-year-old Anthony Robert Franchitti, a resident of the City of Lafayette, Colorado. He was taken into custody without incident and has been charged with one count of murder in the first degree.

The investigation is ongoing, and Mr. Franchitti is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. As previously reported, this homicide appears to be an isolated incident, and there is not a threat to the community.
