Optional Pre-Bid Meetings

Pre-proposal meetings will take place on Tuesday, June 22 from 8:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. and Wednesday, June 23 from 8:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Interested Parties only need to attend one of the two meetings. These meetings will take place at the project site: 3472 Sunshine Canyon Drive. Meet in the parking area. Follow the numerous signs with numbers and arrows on them to 3472 Sunshine Canyon Drive, instead of trusting GPS. These meetings will start promptly so allow enough time to arrive at the parking area. Per Boulder County Guidelines wearing a mask outdoors is recommended.

Purpose/Background

This RFP is to complete one Wildfire Partners hazardous fuels reduction project on private property. The project has been marked. A project map and prescription are included in Exhibit A. This project is a total of 13.99 acres. In addition to requesting bids for the entire project area (13.99 acres), we are requesting bids for phase 1 (section D = 3.47 acres) and for phase 2 (sections D and A = 6.19 acres). Interested contractors are strongly encouraged to attend one of two pre-proposal meetings so they can view the property and the individual tree marking in order to prepare an accurate bid.

Wildfire Partners

Launched in 2014, Wildfire Partners is a nationally recognized, collaborative program to reduce wildfire risk. Homeowners, with the assistance from Wildfire Partners, work to better protect their homes by actively creating and maintaining defensible space and reducing the ignition potential of their structures. Specifications and a sample contract with a FEMA specific addendum are attached. The successful proposer shall execute the attached addendum as part of any contract with the county, and comply with all FEMA requirements set forth in that addendum.

Written Inquiries

All inquiries regarding this RFP will be submitted via email to the Boulder County Purchasing Office at purchasing@bouldercounty.org on or before 2:00 p.m. June 28, 2021. A response from the county to all inquiries will be posted and sent via email no later than July 1, 2021.
