The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office is soliciting proposals from tow companies to establish a contract(s) for the impoundment, and in certain situations, to conduct non-impoundment towing of vehicles and trailers encountered by the sheriff’s office. This may include the impoundment and/or storage of vehicles and trailers, vehicle and trailer relocations, vehicle and trailer recoveries, and towing of county-owned vehicles, as needed. The contracted vendors must be available to respond 24/7/365 and in a timely manner. The sheriff’s office may elect to contract with more than one tow vendor to provide towing services throughout the county in order to provide the best public service possible. If multiple contracts are awarded, the sheriff’s office reserves the right to modify any pre-established or pre-existing rotation system for service calls, or request a specific vendor, based on incident location and/or need.
