Purpose/Background

Marathon Baler Wire Tie Upgrade:

The recycling center has an aging baler that is used to package over 35% of our inbound material. This baler is over 20 years old, and the baler wire tie system is out of date and no longer is fully functional. There are available upgrade units that will allow for fully automatic operations.

This upgrade will involve the following:

• Off hours installation (1-2 day)
• Removing the old bale wire system with its software and hardware
• Installing new upgraded wire tie system with its software and hardware
• Testing and training system for operation

The County operator, Eco Cycle will have a team on site for training and system acceptance.

All inquiries regarding this RFP will be submitted via email to the Boulder County Purchasing Office at purchasing@bouldercounty.org on or before 2:00 p.m. April 27, 2023. A response from the county to all inquiries will be posted and sent via email no later than May 5, 2023.

Submittal Instructions

Submittals are due at the email box only, listed below, for time and date recording on or before 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time on May 30, 2023. Vendors must answer whether line-item pricing information submitted with a bid is confidential or closely held.
