Purpose/Background

Boulder County is seeking to contract with language and sign language interpreters to provide simultaneous interpretation of community meetings, both in-person and online through platforms such as Zoom, Teams, Webex, etc. These community meetings are generally presented in English and require Spanish language interpretation and ASL interpretation. (Other languages may be required in the future.)

Interpreters familiar with public sector services such as health, housing and human services, community planning, budgets, environment, recreation, transportation, etc. are preferred.

Awarded vendors will be expected to enter into a continuing services contract with the county with the option to renew for four more one-year terms. No work is guaranteed by an award of a contract. Vendors should include any requirements they have to perform their work.

Specifications and a sample contract are attached. Please make sure to provide samples of your work with your proposal.

All inquiries regarding this SOQ will be submitted via email to the Boulder County Purchasing Office at purchasing@bouldercounty.org on or before 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2021. A response from the county to all inquiries will be posted and sent via email no later than Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
