On Friday, June 6, the county will provide a non-mandatory site visit. This site visit will include several stops along the rail corridor for vendors to see the conditions and several points. Boulder County (the County) is seeking to hire a consultant to prepare preliminary and final design plans, structure plans, survey, title reports and other relevant records research, documentation of crossing agreements, subsurface utility engineering, drainage analysis, wetland mapping / delineation, environmental permitting and other items as appropriate to develop engineering phase documents for the Boulder to Erie Regional Trail (BERT) (the Trail). The Trail will follow an out-of-service railroad corridor in eastern Boulder County which extends from 61st Street in Boulder to E County Line Rd in Erie, an approximate distance of 8.5 miles. The Trail will be within the out-of-service rail corridor for the entirety of the alignment except where crossing Boulder County roadways and Colorado 287. The purpose of the Trail is to provide a multi-use trail connection between Boulder and Erie.
