Purpose/Background

Boulder County Building Services (BCBS), a Division of Public Works, acting as GC, is requesting Bids from qualified contractors for specific scopes of work associated to the remodel of the Old Administrative office areas of the Jail located at 3200 Airport Road, Boulder, CO 80301.

The scope, in general, involves converting approximately 7,500 square feet of existing office and courts space into a larger court room and inmate staging area, requiring a revision of secured perimeters (CMU walls with foundation work), revisions to MEP, FA & FS to fit new layout, and a new rooftop air handler.

• Subcontracts needed, to work in coordination with BCBS staff, to successfully complete this scope include: Demolition (Concrete & CMU), Masonry, Concrete, Structural Steel, Fire Sprinkler, Mechanical, Plumbing, Door Control, Glazing, Acoustical Ceilings & Paneling, Roofing & Skylight.
• Under separate Bid to follow this for material only procurement to the site per schedule, for install by Boulder County, scopes include: Detention Hollow Metal & Hardware, Standard Hollow Metal & Hardware
• Boulder County Building Services will have inhouse crews available to perform all interior metal stud framing, wall/ceiling insulation, drywall, doors, frames, and hardware, paint finish, wood panel install, HAVC Controls, LV Cabling, and Electrical Systems.

All inquiries regarding this BID will be submitted via email to the Boulder County Purchasing Office at purchasing@bouldercounty.org on or before 2:00 p.m. June 15, 2021. A response from the county to all inquiries will be posted and sent via email no later than June 18, 2021.
