Purpose/Background

Boulder County seeks the services of an acoustics and noise engineering firm with field, industrial experience to: (i) assist in designing county noise regulations applicable to oil and gas operations; (ii) serve as an as-needed consultant in evaluating oil and gas applications submitted to the county (including but not limited to evaluating applicants’ noise modeling predictions and developing mitigation measures to prevent adverse impacts from noise from any projects receiving county approval); and (iii) assist in design and implementation of a county noise inspection and enforcement program for oil and gas operations, which may include baseline ambient noise assessment. All services will be on a per-project basis and may include meetings with county staff, review of proposed regulations, attendance at public hearings, site visits, and modeling work.
