The information on this page summarizes the key indicators used to track the current spread of COVID-19 and assess the relative community risk posed by COVID-19. Boulder County Public Health reports on four COVID-19-related indicators within Boulder County: hospital admissions due to COVID-19, emergency room visits due to COVID-19, deaths due to COVID-19, and COVID-19 concentrations in wastewater. Viral concentrations in wastewater are collected and analyzed from waste treatment plants in Boulder, Louisville, Lafayette, and Erie.

These data, in addition to COVID-19 concentrations in wastewater, summarize COVID-19 related hospitalizations, emergency room visits, and deaths of Boulder County residents. They are compiled and analyzed by Boulder County Public Health. They are sourced from hospitalization and death investigations conducted with those who contracted COVID-19 in the county combined with reports from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, local hospitals, and the Boulder County Coroner.
