Boulder County Public Health works to reduce and prevent substance use disorder in Boulder County through community-level education, advocacy, and policy.

Healthy Futures Coalition

The Healthy Futures Coalition is a group of individuals and organizations dedicated to reducing substance abuse in Boulder County.

Youth Opioid Overdose Prevention (YOOP)

The YOOP (Youth Opioid Overdose Prevention) team is made up of trained youth and adult educators and offers a variety of Narcan training options. YOOP trainings combine lessons and activities and are designed by youth for youth and young adults in Boulder County.

Tobacco Education & Prevention Partnership

Tobacco use remains the number one preventable cause of death and disease in the nation and in Boulder County. Smoking and secondhand smoke contribute to heart disease, lung cancer, emphysema, and increase the risk of pneumonia, bronchitis, and ear infections in children. The Tobacco Education & Prevention Partnership works to educe tobacco-related health disparities and address the root causes of tobacco use.
