As a Public Housing Agency (PHA), BCHA is required to submit an annual plan to HUD 75 days before the start of its fiscal year (January 1). The Annual Plan is a comprehensive guide to BCHA policies, programs, operations, and strategies for meeting local housing needs and goals. The Boulder County Commissioners and Parks & Open Space staff will present their annual Conservation Awards at the Ron Stewart Parks & Open Space building in Longmont on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 3-4 p.m. The Conservation Awards honor individuals or groups for outstanding contributions made to the preservation and protection of land-based environmental resources, promotion or preservation of cultural practices or cultural history, and community connections to open space. The commissioners will present the following awards: Land Conservation Award: Linda Holubar Sanabria for commitment to conservation by preserving the Spruce Gulch property, adding to thousands of acres of contiguous protected land in this area of the Rocky Mountain Foothills.
