Colorado Source Water Assessment and Protection
A new program, Colorado Source Water Assessment and Protection (SWAP), is designed to provide the general public with information about drinking water. The program encourages community-based protection and preventive management strategies to ensure that all public drinking water resources remain safe from future contamination.
Wells or cisterns typically provide private water supplies, while a water district or municipality typically supplies public drinking water.
