Non-life-threatening injuries sustained after rolling down 50-foot embankment

Boulder County, Colo. - On Saturday, August 1, 2020 at approximately 12:24 p.m., Boulder County Communications received a 911 call from a resident in the 800 block of Cougar Run, located just outside the Town of Nederland in unincorporated Boulder County. The caller told dispatchers that her husband, a 61-year-old male, had rolled his tractor while moving wood on the property and was yelling for her to call 911. Upon arrival at the scene, rescuers discovered that the tractor had rolled approximately 50 feet down a steep embankment. The injured male was down by the tractor. Due to the terrain, assistance from volunteers with Rocky Mountain Rescue Group was requested in order to access the male and get him up to an ambulance. Due to a combination of the remote location and the severity of the male’s injuries, a medevac helicopter was requested and was used to transport the male to St. Anthony’s Hospital. The full extent of the male’s injuries are unknown at this time but they are not life-threatening.
