Boulder County Surveyor Lee Stadele
Boulder County Surveyor Lee Stadele lives in Nederland, and has almost 4 decades of land surveying experience. He has been a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Colorado since 1989. Stadele has received Certificates of Appreciation from the Town of Nederland and the Professional Land Surveyors of Colorado.
Originally from Brielle, on the Jersey Shore, Lee attended Albion College in Michigan and graduated with a degree in the Geologic Sciences. In 1982, Lee moved to Boulder County and started his career in land surveying. He is currently President of Flagstaff Surveying, Inc., the full service land surveying company he co-founded in 1992 with his longtime associate and business partner, Steven Sellars, PLS.
As County Surveyor, Lee hopes to continue the preservation of land survey monuments and historical documents. He also wants to standardize mapping language in the County and make it easier for citizens living near flood zones to have access to the existing detailed flood mapping.
The Boulder County Surveyor’s duties include land survey, boundary disputes, advising county departments, and maintaining survey plat records. See the Land Surveyor’s Corner for more resources.
