Injured hiker evacuated from the Anne U. White Trail

Boulder County, Colo. - The Boulder County Communications Center received a call shortly before 1:00 p.m. today regarding an injured hiker on the Anne U. White trail. The 47-year-old female from Aurora was hiking on the trail when she fell and sustained several non-life-threatening injuries.

Search and rescue teams responded and found the injured hike approximately 1.2 miles from the trail head. They completed a wheeled litter evacuation from the trail to the trail head, where she was transported to a local hospital via ambulance.

The entire rescue took approximately three hours to complete.

The responding agencies for this incident included the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, American Medical Response, Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, Boulder Mountain Fire and Boulder County Parks and Open Space.
