Structure fire in the 7500 block of Hygiene Road, Boulder County, Colorado

Unoccupied house sustained heavy fire damage

Boulder County, Colo. - On June 4, 2020, at 6:03 p.m., an unoccupied house in the 7500 block of Hygiene Road caught fire and sustained heavy damage. Fire fighters from the Hygiene Fire Department and the Lyons Fire Department responded and quickly extinguished the flames.

The unoccupied house is undergoing renovation and no one was inside at the time of the fire. The investigation in on-going, but it appears the cause could be related to the construction work.

The home owner responded to the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. There is nothing suspicious about the circumstances of the fire and there were no reported injuries during this incident.
