Hiker rescued from West Ridge Trail on Green Mountain

Boulder County, Colo. - On Saturday, March 21, at approximately 1:13 p.m., the sheriff’s office was notified of a hiker who had injured her knee in the area of the upper section of the West Ridge Trail outside of Boulder.

The 51-year-old woman, who was hiking with a friend, injured her leg while descending from the summit of Green Mountain. Members of the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group provided first aid and transported her back to the West Ridge Trailhead where her hiking companion drove her to the hospital.

The rescue took two hours and 45 minutes.
