Back Country Skier Rescued At Meadow Mountain Trail in Boulder County
Boulder County, Colo. - On Sunday, February 23, 2020 about 1:22 p.m., the Boulder County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about an injured back country skier in the area of the Meadow Mountain Trail, located in Boulder County Colorado.
A 32 year old female, was back country skiing in the area of Meadow Mountain Trail and Forest Service Road 116.1 when she became injured. Rescue personnel began searching for the female on two snow mobiles. When the female was located, it appeared as though she injured one of her legs and she was taken by snowmobile out of the area to get medical treatment.
Additionally, personnel from multiple agencies worked together to coordinate the evacuation of the injured skier. The Boulder County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, Allenspark Fire Department and the United States Forest Service.
