County Observes Indigenous Peoples Day on Monday, Oct. 12 – Offices Closed

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County government offices will be closed Monday, Oct. 12, in observance of Indigenous Peoples Day.

The 20th Judicial District Court and the District Attorney's Office will be open.

The county’s office closure does not impact 24/7 public safety, child and adult protection, or maintenance operations.

Indigenous Peoples Day Event

The Boulder County Commissioners are proud sponsors of Mi Chantli Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration.

Where: Where: Mi Chantli Studio, 1750 30th St., Boulder

When: Sunday, October 11, 2026, 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

What: Celebrating culture and honoring ancestors. Hosted by Grupo Mexica Tlahuitzcalli and Mi Chantli. The event includes:

  • Breakdancing showcase
  • Hear Us Now See Us Now dance educational troupe
