Missing Woman Located Safely Following Early-Morning Search

Boulder County, Colo. - A 67-year-old woman who was reported missing from her home in the 100 block of Sky Trail Road was located safely early this morning following a search by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 3:40 a.m., the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a report from family members that the woman was missing from her residence and was believed to have left sometime during the overnight hours.

Deputies responded and searched the woman’s residence, property, and surrounding properties. A thermal-imaging drone was also deployed to search a larger area but did not locate her.

As the search continued, the Sheriff’s Office Communications Center issued an emergency missing person alert to residents within approximately a two-mile radius, asking community members to be on the lookout for the woman.

At approximately 6:00 a.m., the Communications Center received a call from a neighbor who reported they were with the missing woman.

Deputies and medical personnel responded to the location and contacted the woman. She was evaluated by medical personnel, and no injuries were reported.

The woman was reunited with her family a short time later.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the community members who received the emergency alert and assisted by remaining vigilant during the search, as well as the responding agencies that assisted with the incident.

Agencies involved included American Medical Response, Boulder Mountain Fire, and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
