Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Hosts Help for the Holidays Food Drive

Boulder County, Colo. - The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office is proud to host the Help for the Holidays Food Drive to help local community members in need this holiday season. The event will take place on Saturday, November 15, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters, 5600 Flatiron Parkway, Boulder.

All donations will be distributed to the following local organizations in Boulder County: Harvest of Hope, St. John Food Bank, and Sister Carmen. These organizations continue to see significant demand from individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout our community.

Community members are encouraged to stop by and donate non-perishable food items. The donation items most in need include:

  • Baby formula
  • Baking mixes and baking goods
  • Beans
  • Bottled water
  • Canned and dried fruit
  • Canned and dried pasta
  • Canned chili and stews
  • Canned meats
  • Canned soup
  • Canned tomatoes and pasta sauce
  • Canned vegetables
  • Condiments
  • Cooking oil
  • Instant meals
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Nut mix or snack crackers
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Shelf stable milk
  • Whole grains

“Our deputies see firsthand how many families in our community are struggling to make ends meet,” said Sheriff Curtis Johnson. “This food drive is one way we can come together to make a difference and ensure that no one goes hungry this season.”

The event will have a convenient drive-up drop-off area, making it easy for residents to donate safely and efficiently. Sheriff’s Office deputies, civilian staff, and volunteers will be on hand to greet donors, answer questions, and provide a brief look at Sheriff’s Office vehicles.

Every contribution helps strengthen the community and supports our neighbors in need.
